The Hanley Center, a Caron property in Palm Beach, Florida, is soon to become an acquisition of Origins Recovery Centers, ADAW has learned. A formal press release is expected within days but has not been issued yet. When contacted, Caron and Origins declined to comment.
Andrew Rothermel left Caron, where he was president of the Florida market, in April to be CEO of Origins. The Origins press release announcing the Rothermel appointment stated that Rothermel would remain based in Palm Beach. Origins is in South Padre Island, Texas.
The Hanley Center was acquired by Caron in 2011 (see ADAW, May 16, 2011). The Hanley Center was first owned by Hazelden, which opened its acclaimed program for older adults in 1998. The partnership between Hanley and Hazelden was dissolved in 2005.
